Upcoming Steps to Inclusion Courses through FDSO partnership

To continue with enhancing coaching provision, The South Yorkshire McCain Athletics network are proudly supporting the South Yorkshire Steps to Inclusion Inspire mark Disability Awareness programme.

The first course is:

Step 1: Club Development Evening - FREE
Monday 28th March 2011
English Institute of Sport-Sheffield
Time: 6pm-8pm
Overview: Clubs will commence with a basic disability awareness session before innovatively completing their clubs disability action plan.
Supported by RFU & YCB Development Officers

The second course will be:
Step 2: Coach Development Evening - FREE
Monday 4th April 2011
Rawmarsh School, Rotherham
Time: 6pm-8.30pm
Overview: A practical development session providing simple ways to adapt your sessions for inclusion.
Supported by FDSO, and all local Disability Sport Development Officers from South Yorkshire

Coaches do not need to attend both, however will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge across the two courses.

In addition to this and enabling coaches to continually develop, the South Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network has the following upcoming workshops:
Specific Strength & Conditioning, 22/02/11, EIS Weights Gym 7.30pm-9.30pm
Nutrition, 01/03/11, Keepmoat Stadium, Time TBC
Sports coach UK FUNdamentals of Movement, 30/03/11, Dorothy Hyman Leisure centre 6.30pm-9.30pm
Combined Events Quad Kids, 05/04/11, Herringthorpe Track 7pm 9pm
